Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku will be fit for this weekend’s game against Sunderland.

The Toffees boss also revealed that a plethora of injured players are set to return to training this week.

Kevin Mirallas, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and James McCarthy will all return to training this week, while Muhamed Besic is in light training following his long-term injury.

“Romelu Lukaku had problems but he is back. James McCarthy and Kevin Mirallas are as well,” Koeman confirmed.

Everton’s biggest boost has certainly come in the form of Lukaku’s fitness, with the Belgian such an integral part of this side.

Lukaku returned to his homeland while the club jetted off to their Dubai training camp, but it is now confirmed that he is fit and ready.

Koeman also stated that Yannick Bolasie will have his second surgery at the beginning of March following his horror injury.

The winger is set to be out until the end of the year but has seemingly made swift progress in his rehabilitation.

Predicted XI: Joel, Holgate, Mori, Williams, Baines, Coleman, Davies, Schneiderlin, Barkley, Lookman, Lukaku.
